Image source: Google. These looms came out when I was in 4th grade, the Huda-Par Boston Celtics shirt In simpler terms ripe ol’ age of 9. I wanted one so bad when I first saw my friend Jane using one on the bus — but it took a little while before I got one. Once I got one… it was almost as if I was transported into another world. I only remember snippets of when I used the loom, and mostly because I still own the loom and the vast majority of things I made that weren’t given away. But, I digress. Students were always using their rainbow looms in school for recess: they would make “Triple Singles”, “Starbursts”, and a plethora of other bracelets on these looms, getting a steady supply of rubber bands from parents I’d imagine. I made several bracelets for all of my family members rapidly, and in the color they selected. Not bracelets of my own… they all look worn out now. Eventually, I started watching youtube videos to advanced further in the rubberband craft.
